What if the military could literally read the minds of the people, and see your thoughts on a screen?
Fort Benning, Georgia a Major General of the US Army opens fire on his own recruits, killing dozens before turning the gun on himself. USS Carl Vinson, Persian Gulf a veteran fighter pilot opens fire on his own aircraft carrier before diving his F-18 Hornet into the deck.
Ethan Warner and Nicola Lopez of the Defense Intelligence Agency are called in to investigate the horrific events, and within hours uncover startling evidence that the veteran servicemen were not guilty of their crimes - for they were not in control of their own minds. Delving deeper, they discover evidence that both were victims of brain control so powerful they were driven to kill their comrades before taking their own lives to hide the evidence. The enemy has a new weapon the ability to see our thoughts and dreams, and to control our minds from afar.
Ethan and Nicola are dispatched to track down the surgeons responsible for infiltrating human minds, and expose a horrendous new mission by militant terrorists hell-bent on bringing the United States to its knees. From Berlin to Basra, to the vicious killing fields of Somalia and the dangerous streets of the homicide capital of the world, Washington DC, Ethan and Nicola finds themselves on the trail of killers who have committed no crime and yet have the capacity to murder millions. Worse, nobody knows who will turn on their comrades next…

5 stars for plot, characters and dialog. Another 5 stars for interesting scientific subjects. So what's wrong? Excessive descriptions on every move made in every fight scene is one but my biggest complaint is Crawford's political pontificating. Some of that crops up in every book but it's in tiny doses so I forgive him. But this book went over the top. It's bad enough when Hollywood actors and famous-for-nothing celebrities think we care about their political opinions. It's worse when they abuse public forums to lecture us with their very unentertaining babble. But the worst is when an author interrupts the story and takes advantage of his paying customers to shove his political patter down our throats. Wrong place; wrong subject; wrong audience. Dean, less than half of the world is liberal. You're losing the majority of your readers.Product details

The Identity Mine Warner Lopez Book 3 edition by Dean Crawford Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
Enjoyed this novel very much. Anyone who is a fan of Dean Crawford and his Warner and Lopez characters MUST pick this up and read it. It's another thrilling ride of a read!
Warner and Lopez are up to their necks in this intriguing venture.
Chasing a murderer, whose only intent is revenge, constantly evades Warner, Lopez and the FBI, so that he can fulfil his objective.
Book Three of the Warner and Lopez series. So far so good, there is some good banter between characters and the action was good. Story moves along at a good pace and i think the plot is good. the chapter titles are informative most of the time, some are not needed. Good Story so far.
Obviously written by a non-American. The dialogue doesn't fit the characters, as Americans don't speak the same as Brits. Also, be ready to be assaulted by unending liberal prattle.
Interesting plotline, my only issue is with Ethan not having an edge consistent with the role he undertakes. surrounding players make up for his faults. Good read, starting on #4 shortly.
This is the eighth action thriller of the Ethan Warner series. The action is OK. The repetition of descriptions from the earlier novels got on my nerves. I don't need a three page description of the Bilderberg group or a two page description of DIA in every single novel.
And I'm pretty sure the curved TV sets were never marketed as "concave TV".
What can be more terrible that control over minds of the people?
Certainly we are all controlled to a large extent - through mass media, structure of states we live in and through other numerous things, but the new technology which will soon permit brain implants and will dictate to us what to think and do is something truly frightening!
The Identity Mine is a secret government program designed to keep track of certain people through brain implants, which earlier version was stolen by enemies of the US and used to implant American servicemen in Iraq with brain chips turning those soldiers and officers into literally robots ready to act at will of their hidden masters.
As much as progress and technology could be admired and appreciated it is rather sad when all those new brilliant achievements might be used by groups of immensely rich and powerful people only to control the rest of the world for their own purpose.
That book makes you think about what the future might look like pretty soon.
